So that when the people look for work, they have two options:
- Struggle to live without work or money, until death
- They go to work in sweatshops* for 3000 taka a month ($53.08 NZD), almost nine times less than New Zealand's minimum wage.
To help, you can either:
- Buy clothes from companies that don't source work from impoverished countries
- Donate to the charities on the left
